Position Description: Manage the financial functions, which include budget planning, sub-recipient monitoring, cash management, and fixed asset oversight. Manage all accounting aspects, which include the annual A-133 audit, general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll. From time-to-time, review financial information and issues through the NWIFC Finance and Organization Committee.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Accounting plus 6 years of relevant work experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Two years of governmental accounting experience is required. CPA desired. Extensive background in using and maintaining an integrated accounting and payroll system. Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word. Extensive experience in performing general accounting activities including maintaining the Balance Sheet, account reconciliations, and preparing interim financial statements. Experience in payroll processing, reporting, tax reporting, fringe benefits, and year-end tax reporting activities. Knowledge of OMB Circular A-133 audit requirements including preparation of audit schedules and required statements. Previous experience interfacing with audit staff is required. Excellent people skills and ability to work in diverse working environments.
