1. Prepare and teach advance math courses.
2. Promote and recruit students for program.
3. Maintain various reports such as attendance, grades, and other reports as required by administration.
4. Evaluate student performance and assign appropriate grades. Participate in student assessment activities.
5. Update and maintain curriculum in the math and science area to meet general education requirements for a two or four-year degree program.
6. Counsel and advise students enrolled in the program. Maintain advisee file for each student.
7. Maintain inventory of department equipment.
8. Must communicate effectively with others.
9. Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Academics.
10. Provide friendly, helpful customer service to students, clients and visitors.
11. Attend all scheduled college functions and meetings as required.
12. Serve on college committees as appointed.
13. Promote and participate in student and community activities. (i.e. clubs, AIHEC, cultural events.)
14. Promote and recruit students for Sitting Bull College.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Ph.D. degree in a Math preferred, Master’s degree required.
2. Teaching experience preferred.
3. Have knowledge and experience working with federal and tribal programs.
