SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Under direct supervision of the Director of Admissions & Recruiting, performs all or some of the following duties:
1. Provides consistently excellent customer service to a variety of groups, including students, prospective students, families, external agencies, UTTC staff and faculty and others.
2. Assists in recruitment and new student orientation activities as required.
3. Operates a personal computer, printer, and applicable software to produce a variety of correspondence, memoranda, reports and other materials and to input student documents as they are received.
4. Oversees the administration of the ACT/Compass exams and obtains any required certifications to do so. Ensures the accurate entry of Compass test data into the Jenzabar system.
5. Proctors or administers other assessments as required.
6. Completes paperwork to request criminal background investigations.
7. Maintains a student admissions records according to UTTC policies.
8. Proofreads, checks and records information.
9. Updates informational material as needed.
10. Run daily procedures such as letters, labels, reports, through Jenzebar.
11. Inputs data on Jenzabar notepad and info maker as needed.
12. May perform a variety of specialized clerical duties, and other tasks related to the functions of the Admissions Department.
13. Services on institutional committees as required.
14. Inputs data from a variety of sources needed for the processing of admissions applications.
15. Scans and archives documents.
16. Receive training and train others to support ongoing departmental cross training efforts.
17. Performs other projects/tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor Degree in Business Management or related field. Learns and applies UTTC’s admissions policies, and of the vocational programs offered by the institution.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Strong ability to relate and deal with people in a positive and friendly manner.
2. Requires knowledge of secondary and post-secondary school curriculum in order to evaluate transcripts.
3. Ability to effectively interpret tests, measurements and performance indicators relative to academic and vocational programs required.
4. Demonstrate excellence in written and oral communications.
Preference will be given to bona fide American Indian applicants in accordance with UTTC policies and Federal Indian regulations for such preference.
