The University of Kansas School of Law invites applications for associate director of the Wheat Law Library. The position is a tenure-track law library faculty position and is available January 2011. The Associate Director performs general administrative duties involving all aspects of library operation including collection development, assessment of emerging technologies, supervision of professional librarians and staff, teaching and research services, and reference work. Applicants must possess a JD from an ABA accredited law school and an MLS or MLIS or equivalent from an ALA accredited institution; have a minimum of 5 years post-JD experience working in a law library; have at least 1 year of management and supervisory experience, and; have a minimum of 3 years combined experience teaching, training and/or providing instructional support.
