JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training Project Director
LOCATION: Sitting Bull College
Fort Yates, ND
SALARY: Administrative, Level II (Exempt)
1/2 time and effort
SUPERVISION: Vice President of Academics
SUMMARY OF WORK:
Responsible for overall administration of the two year grant for Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training grant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for day-to-day administration of the Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training grant.

2. Insure objectives of the Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training grant are being met.

3. Recruit participants for training.

4. Coordinate CEU training schedules with the Educational Outreach Coordinator and the Coordinator for Academic Affairs.

5. Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate grant trainers using established college policies.

6. Make quarterly reports to the Vice President of Academics whom reviews the work of the grant program and distributes to administration and Board of Trustees.

7. Submit recommendations for the future planning development.

8. Conduct ongoing formative and summative program evaluation of progress toward grant goals and objectives.

9. Complete all grant reports.

10. Maintain the budget for the Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training grant, supervise the expenditures, and give quarterly reports of such expenditure to the Vice President of Academics, prepare budget modifications when needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

1 Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science.

2 Candidate should be knowledgeable with federally funded programs.

3 Candidate should posses good verbal and written communications.

4 Candidate should be representative of the Native American population.
