JOB DESCRIPTION
The mission of Haskell Indian Nations University, a land grant institution, is to serve members of federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native nations as authorized by Congress and in partial fulfillment of treaty and trust obligations. With student learning as its focus, Haskell embraces the principles of sovereignty and self-determination through a culturally based holistic lifelong learning environment that promotes and upholds respect, rights, and responsibility.
This position provides vision, leadership, and advocacy for the college and is responsible for all aspects of the administration of a comprehensive four-year college serving Native American students.
Directly supervise professional, administrative, and support staff.
Indentify and analyze the educational needs of the Indian community to provide programs and courses which are directly responsive to the identified needs of the Indian community.
Implement long range planning for the college, including budget formulation.
Develop and expand fudraising activities through the utilization of the Haskell Foundation.
Responsible for the facility management program and technical support involving program planning.
Work cooperatively in developing joint policies with the Board of Regents.
