JOB DESCRIPTION
The mission of Haskell Indian Nations University, a land grant institution, is to serve members of federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native nations as authorized by Congress and in partial fulfillment of treaty and trust obligations. With student learning as its focus, Haskell embraces the principles of sovereignty and self-determination through a culturally based holistic lifelong learning environment that promotes and upholds respect, rights, and responsibility.
This position contributes to the mission of the University by effectively directing and managing the admission office activities.
JOB DUTIES:
Develop admissions policies and procedures and determine eligibility by reviewing all credentails of applicants, admission status and verification of tribal mambership/descendancy.
Responsible for the general supervision of the college's admissions staff.
Administer database system including software updates, student data retrieval and maintenance, staff training, and protecting the confidentiality of information contained in the system.
Plan and organize the procedures used for new student pre-enrollment and registration, and verify applicant's placement for enrollment and registration.
Develop a comprehensive student markeing and recruitment plan for the University.
