Job Purpose
Manages the overall operations of the projects team. Conducts research and collaborates with others to obtain and provide strategic data to promote fundraising efforts, writes major grant proposals, ensures project grant properly implemented and objectives are met, and comprehensive project reports are prepared for donors.
Directly administers the Embrey American Indian Women’s Leadership Project. (See attached job description for this specific project.)
Job Context
The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all project grants are implemented to achieve the donors objectives within the designated timelines and budgets. Identify and implement project evaluations and provide comprehensive project reports. Lead collaborative efforts to identify tribal college needs and create cases for support. Collaborate with resource development to determine data needed to promote fundraising efforts and then collect and analyze data needed. In these ways, this position is primarily involved with the Fund’s strategic goal to increase financial resources by providing stewardship of donor project grants and critical data needed to promote fundraising.
The values of respect and relationships are critical, because this position works directly with every team in the organization, in addition to donors, tribal colleges, students and external organizations. If the incumbent is not focused on respect and building relationships, they will not succeed in the position. In addition, the values of reasoning and responsibility are important, because of the responsibility of stewarding donor project grants.
