The mission of Haskell Indian Nations University, a land grant institution, is to serve members of federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native nations as authorized by Congress and in partial fulfillment of treaty and trust obligations. With student learning as its focus, Haskell embraces the principles of sovereignty and self-determination through a culturally based holistic lifelong learning environment that promotes and upholds respect, rights, and responsibility. Haskell's vision is to become a national center for Indian Education, research, and cultural programs that increase knowledge and support the educational needs of American Indians and Alaska Natives.
The purpose of this position is to provide college level instruction in the field of Mathematics to meet educational goals and objective of Haskell Indian Nations University. Classes taught will be composed of American Indian and Alaskan Native students from numerous tribes with diverse backgrounds and traditions representing this country's Indian nations.
