LOCATION: Kanosh Clinic
JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates family practice clinic activities and assists with medical procedures under the direction of the medical provider. In accordance with federal law, priority will be given to qualified Native American applicants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned.
Interviews patients, measures vital signs and records information on patient’s charts.
Draws and/or collects various lab specimens for analysis and gives injections. Coordinates lab services.
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Assists medical provider and specialty clinic providers with medical procedures as needed.
Performs and coordinates quality assurance/quality improvement activities for the clinic. Oversees chart audits and other quality improvement activities as assigned.
Maintains inventory and maintenance schedule of medical equipment and supplies. Prepares and submits orders for supplies and medications.
Responsible for OSHA/CLIA paperwork. Maintains CLIA and OSHA standards for the lab and clinic.
Participates in the Vaccine for Children program and data requirements.
Assists with the cleaning of the facility.
Attends training and conferences to meet requirements for maintaining licensure.
Involves periodic traveling to fulfill job responsibilities.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable .
Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
Must be able to pass a background investigation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
RN: Active RN license required. Experience in a medical/clinic setting preferred. Experience with Native Americans preferred.

Knowledge of the Native American community is helpful.
