SUMMARY: The Administrative Officer of the Yankton Sioux Tribe serves as the Administration Officer of the Tribal Organization. In general, the Officer has primary responsibility for planning, coordinating, directing, staffing and controlling all designated programs of the Yankton Sioux Tribe.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess a degree from a four-year college or university with major course work in public or business administration, social services or closely-related field or five-years of work experience in related field in lieu of the educational requirement.
2. Considerable knowledge of the principles, practices and methods of variety of public sector and/or human service programs.
3. Five (5) years experience/knowledge of laws, regulations, concepts and practices.
4. Possess knowledge of federal, private, and state grants and contracts to include, securing, managing, reporting and evaluation of those grants and contracts.
5. Considerable knowledge of current developments, sources of information and methods of project and program management techniques and be able to teach the same, as needed.
6. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
7. Must possess superior verbal and written skills.
