As member of leadership team, ideal candidate will be responsible to direct strategy development, planning and administrative management of assigned areas by establishing and maintaining standards focusing on effective translation of strategy into operational objectives and specific, measurable goals and associated deliverable s aligned and supporting overall mission, vision and values of the Corporation.
Job Duties:
• Plan and direct development and administration of Human Resource strategies, policies, programs and services
• Serve as a member of the senior leadership team providing input on overall strategic direction of the hospital especially as strategies affect human resource operations, practices and policies
• Provide leadership in development, implementation and evaluation of services, programs and practices that support the hospital’s overall goals and objectives
• Plan, develop and evaluate policies, practices, programs and systems sensitive to the needs and belief systems of the staff
• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate a variety of training programs associated with Human Resources processes, policies, procedures and transactions to ensure understanding for equitable application
• Develop operational and financial outcome measures, related tracking and monitoring systems and a mechanism to integrate efforts into organization-wide Quality Improvement systems
• Facilitate the professional growth of staff by accurately assessing learning needs, styles and barriers to learning; coordinates learning opportunities
• Prepare monthly progress/operational report; identifies areas of improvement, concern and recommended
• Develop recommendations for human resource, training and related programs by integrating strong knowledge and techniques in the management sciences to ensure highest quality services
• Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, federal and state policies and directives, and current accounting standards
• Develop and supervise staff through provision of timely feedback and use of appropriate Human Resource policies and tools to facilitate and ensure the ability of staff to achieve highest level of professional growth and desired performance standards
• Plan, develop and direct administration of compensation programs; prepares recommendations from analysis of market trends for adjustments to salaries, benefits and other total compensation programs
• Develop specifications for new benefit plan offerings and/or modifications to exiting plans
• Review all communication materials and documentation including original and amended texts, agreements and policies for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with all provisions of the plan
• Provide interpretation of policy, counseling and facilitation of grievance process to ensure understanding and equitable treatment of parties involved
• Participate in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor
• Participate in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance program/initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or closely related field; equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute; Master’s degree preferred
• At least 8 years previous professional Human Resources experience preferably in a leadership positions with responsibility for development and implementation of strategic human resource programs, policies and practices; previous healthcare experience preferred
