JOB SUMMARY
Plans, manages and coordinates all aspects of lodging, including hotel and RV park operations. Functional areas include: guest service, reservations, housekeeping, maintenance and administration. Works closely with resort management on cross functional areas - valet, landscaping, facility maintenance, food & beverage, marketing, etc.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Supervise and direct the activities and performance of the various Hotel and RV Park operations, with the goal of maximizing profits while ensuring high quality standards of comfort, service and performance.
2. Develop and implement strategic planning for Hotel and RV properties in consolidation with resort goals.
3. Promote an environment and practices that are conducive to guest and employee safety at all times.
4. Responsible for the financial management of the Hotel and RV park, including budget proposal and adherence, revenue and cost analysis and forecasting budget with operational needs.
5. Monitor department operational reports and functions and provide direction to ensure economical efficiency, including guest service amenities, labor costs, inventory and procurement, equipment maintenance, etc., and implement policies and practices to maximize profits and performance.
6. Manages staffing levels and actions including: interviews, hiring, employee schedules, employee evaluation and training; provides employee development, incentives, and rewards; performs counseling, discipline, and separation when necessary.
7. Responds to guest concerns and complaints, mediates disputes, and promotes professional and positive guest interactions.
8. Conducts physical examination of the hotel property and facilities; discusses areas of concern with appropriate staff and follows up on necessary repairs or items of concern.
9. Assumes authority, accountability and responsibility for the direction of others, including demonstrating positive and professional guest service, excellent work standards, proactive coaching practices and role modeling.
10. Conduct regular staff meetings to relay and/or dialogue operational concerns, share promotions and special events information and other coordination's between resort properties.
11. Ensures and monitors compliance with all applicable laws, codes, policies and regulations.
12. Remains knowledgeable of industry standards and practices, continually assessing methods, modes, materials, etc., that will keep the hotel competitive in the hospitality market.
13. Strives to maintain the environmental values of the tribes, promoting green energy systems and practices whenever possible.
14. Meets with suppliers; reviews new products, resolves purchasing and/or supply needs.
15. Represent the Hotel and RV Park at resort management strategy meetings - financial, marketing and other cross organizational activities to improve property performance.
16. Other related duties as necessary or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's Degree in hotel management, hospitality, business, or related field AND five (5) years experience as a General Manager of a 3-4 star property.
2. Strong management skills and abilities to effectively lead hotel operations with organizational development, financial analysis & management, decision making, leadership and development and supervisory skills.
3. Knowledgeable of hotel management principles and practices, including yield management, rating systems, marketing, etc.
4. Effective communication and public relations skills: aural, verbal, written, oral presentation and interpersonal.
5. Computer skills that promote independent use of word, spreadsheets, database, email and property management software systems, including generating reports.
6. Physically able to sit for long periods of time, perform routine office tasks of minor bending, lifting, reaching, and perform repetitive motions of wrists, hands and fingers.
7. Must pass a background check.
