Do you have a passion for caring, but want more manageable hours? Talecris Plasma Resources specializes in the collection of human plasma used in therapies that help people everywhere maintain and enhance their quality of life. Our Amarillo Plasma Donor Center has Full-time and Part-time opportunities for an RN, LPN or Paramedic to serve as Physician Substitutes.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring initial donor suitability and eligibility as well as product integrity and the continued health of our donors
Review donor medical histories; screen donors
Conduct HCT, protein and related tests
Perform any required injury, illness or medical evaluations
Update donor files
Assist management/administration with employee counseling, testing and follow-up to ensure complete safety
Build rapport with donors for long-term donation partnerships and complete confidentiality
Requirements:
Position requires a licensed LPN with current CPR certification and experience in medical care and patient assessments
Background working in a plasma or whole blood center is preferred
Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with OSHA, CLIA and cGMP guidelines is essential
